We’ll be visiting Kemmeter Wines this Saturday to spend time tasting Johannes Reinhardt’s fine Rieslings. Johannes was the winemaker at Anthony Road Winery before starting off on his own (across the street).
Johannes has a intimate tasting room by his vineyard. To taste, you must have a reservation in advance. (We’ve seen him turn people away who didn’t have one!) This allows him to give a very personalized experience, his love for the winemaking art certainly comes through.
The SanSan name shown is to honor his wife Imelda (it’s her Chinese name). While we were tasting last year, Johannes ran across the street to fetch more wine and had Imelda keep us company. She’s a lovely hostess who gave us a receipt for Rhubarb pudding, along with a packet of German pudding mix.
