A few weeks ago my wife and I had the chance to visit Bruce Murray and his wife at their newly opened tasting room and warehouse. Until now, tasting were only available by appointment and they were held in the couple’s kitchen. The new tasting room reflects their love of clean architecture styles. Its got a bright, open feel to it that nicely compliments the outstanding Rieslings produced by Boundary Breaks Winery.
The tasting room features a wide copper covered tasting bar with under counter hooks for purses and murses. The room has a smartly finished concrete floor with plenty of storage for wine product. Magnificent views of Seneca Lake are available from the back of the room.
A large climate controlled storage facility is waiting to be filled with Boundary Breaks wine. They hope that someday they will have production facilities here, although today some of the finest FLX winemakers are involved in making their wine.
Bruce currently has only Rieslings in his portfolio, but is looking to expand into reds in the future.
There is a strong belief here that the Finger Lakes can produce world class Rieslings.
